Chi-Jung (Ron) Sui, PhD

**Dr. Chi-Jung Sui** was born in Pingtung and pursued his education from southern Taiwan northward. He was admitted to the Department of Electrical Engineering at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University for his undergraduate studies, and in his junior year successfully sat the entrance examination to transfer to the Department of Life Science at National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) as a government-sponsored teacher education student. Upon graduation, he was assigned to Zhongshan Junior High School in New Taipei City, where he served as a teacher for gifted education classes. While teaching, he continued his academic pursuits and ultimately earned his doctoral degree from the Graduate Institute of Science Education at NTNU. In terms of academic and research experience, Dr. Sui has held positions as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Center for Interdisciplinary Research Excellence in Learning Sciences (NTNU), and as an Assistant Researcher at the Testing and Assessment Research Center of the National Academy for Educational Research (NAER). He currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Learning and Materials Design at the University of Taipei, and is co-founder of the AI-assisted learning platform AISI (aisi.tw). His research focuses on scientific inquiry and self-regulated learning in digital learning environments, as well as the application of generative artificial intelligence in education. In recent years, his work has extended to the development of argumentation competencies on socio-scientific issues and teacher professional growth. His research output is substantial, with publications in leading international SSCI Q1 journals including *Science Education*, *International Journal of Science Education*, *Journal of Science Education and Technology*, *Education and Information Technologies*, and *Educational Technology & Society*. Dr. Sui is a recipient of the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) Outstanding Doctoral Student Fellowship (2022–2024), under which he conducted a short-term research visit at the University of Twente in the Netherlands. He has also received the Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award from the Science Education Society of the Republic of China (2024) and the Young Scholar Award (2025).
